Managing your Practice
ICS has two primary components: EHR and PACS which are fully integrated unlike other offerings in this category. The EHR is full featured integrated practice management and billing system with a full featured PACS. The PACS pulls from the integrated practice management system, offering even more features to keep your practice organized and moving forward. | | |
| Designed around new standards that have emerged to better exchange data; it is scalable to the modalities and standards of tomorrow. It has both internal and external e-mail as well as alert systems and post it notes that pop up in the places where you need reminders. ICS also has web based data access for referrers. | ||
What Is Important To Your Practice?
In addition, ICS is modular – not that one purchases each module, but some of the features can be turned off to allow for the use of an existing program or system already in place at your office. For example, an existing scheduling or billing system can be integrated into ICS in most instances. This allows you to integrate ICS into your practice without having to eliminate of some of the systems that you already know and have. ICS supports you, your patients and your referring colleagues and is designed to conform to your methods of practice rather than making you conform to the software. This means that it is full of features for you to use or not.
You will always own your data with ICS. Multiple copies will exist not only in your offices but off site so there is no fear of data loss. Recovery processes and systems are in place at a U.S. based level 4 co-location facility, so all data remains intact when catastrophes occur and the patient data can be restored and onsite within 24 hours or less. A lost internet connection will not interfere with your practice because while ICS is web based, the primary server is located inside your office and the need for an internet connection is to facility information transfer into and out of your facility. A practice’s data is stored in an easily transferable format so if you ever wish to change vendors, merge or sell your practice, all the data will be easily ported over and usable.
